In winter, I am one of those unfortunate people whose skin is affected by the blistering cold weather. Therefore, my skincare routine changes slightly to deal with this issue.
Firstly, I wash my face with this tea tree cleanser and face brush from Primark. I really like using these two together as I think they target both dry skin and any spots I may have, or may be developing. I try and be as gentle as I can with the brush, as being too harsh may cause more damage, and won't help.
A couple of years ago I stumbled across this product and have been using it religiously since. It does an amazing job at getting rid of all your eye make up very quickly, and even makes your lashes feel so soft!
After cleansing all my face and making sure all make up is gone, I use a cotton pad to sweep this tea tree toner over my face. I'm not fond of the smell, but I feel like it helps calm my skin, so I force myself to persevere through it.
Afterwards, I will moisturise my face and neck in this Nivea moisturiser. This is a lot heavy than the one I tend to use in warmer months, but I feel like it helps a lot.
In the morning once I have gone through these steps, I put this on as a base to my make up This also aims to help your skin and prevent any break outs.
I LOVE tea tree, I also need to get myself a face brush would be so handy!! I was just saying yesterday that I need to get an eye makeup remover, my mascara is so hard to get off so this sounds like a great one!! For a moisturiser I use the skindrink moisturiser from lush its amazing, I swear by it!! Love your winter skincare routine, I've not been looking after mine the past week and I'm seeing it!
ReplyDeleteThe one that I'm using at the moment, I picked up on a whim from Primark, I think for £1-£2, but surprisingly it's quite good! Obviously, it's one that you have to put the effort into, it doesn't rotate or anything, but it's good for the price. Ooh, I'll have to look this moisturiser up!x
