the journal
Last week I had the opportunity to go to the launch of a local skincare brand in Bristol. Nerves about not knowing any of the people attending, and the complete confusion of where on earth the Colston Forge was, had completely gone once I walked in. Greeted with bubbly and a booklet about the products and brand, I flicked through to get an idea of what to expect before going over to the table of products.
Glamour magazine has always held a special place in my heart. Just like most people in the UK, when I started my second year of A levels, I was getting question regularly about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and what I was going to be doing in uni. At this point I had been studying modern history, statistic maths, welsh, and psychology. And honestly, I didn't see myself doing any of these things.
I have been interested in starting a bullet journal for nearly six months now, mainly because no planner I have ever had has all the components I desire. So this September I started my bullet journal, and since have figured out what stationery I find necessary to make mine the way I want. Also little disclaimer, I wish I could justify spending my student loan on all the amazing fineliners out there, but unfortunately I am on a smaller budget.
When first starting blogging, or when you want to improve your photography, I think it can be hard trying to think of blog props to use. And lets face it, lots of us don't have loads of money to spend on things to be in our photographs. So today I thought I'd share what blog props I have picked up over the past year, as well as talking about making the most out of what you already have.
I think every blogger/writer goes through a time where they lose all motivation to write. After finishing my second year a couple of months ago, I took some time off to let myself relax and in the stress of deadlines and exams lost all motivation and passion to write. So I thought I'd share my tips to get my motivation and passion for blogging back!
It is somehow already the beginning of July, however, I still have a good few months until I have to go back to uni for my third year. Unless I decide to complete a masters degree, it is most likely that this is going to be my last summer holidays in my life, which is quite a sad thought. However, it also means I want to have lots of fun, whilst also being very productive. So I thought I would compile a list of what I would like to achieve before I start third year!
I took quite a long break from Instagram recently for several reasons. I was too stressed out about what I was posting, and also I felt like it was so much added pressure to post regular content that was worthy. However, I have returned with occasional posts, and have been loving feeds from so many people, so I thought I would share my five favourite accounts recently.
The other week I was walking through Home Bargains when I spotted a new make up stand, where all make up products were on a trial price of 99p. I quickly glanced and fell in love with the eyeshadow in Toasted Mauve, so decided to pick it up, as well as the primer that they had stocked.
When I swatched the product, I loved the creamy consistency of it, and the colour pay off and pigmentation was amazing. I was so amazed, and really couldn't imagine it getting any better until I went to wash it off.
