Tell someone
I don't mean to sound like your mum, but when you're going to an event by yourself, let someone know where you are. Both times, I text my sister and told her what my plan was for the day, the rough timings, and the address of the event. I know some people may think that it's not that important, but although everyone I have met in the blogging community are super nice, you should make sure that you're being safe too.
Use social media
Before attending both events, I met up with people beforehand so I could turn up with them. For the first event, I met up with Isobel and Emily and only spoke to them about this event before meeting up with them. Then for the second event, I met up with Katie and Mel, had a Costa and then headed to the event. I had met Katie briefly at the previous event, but even though I hardly knew them at the time, I had one of the best days ever and even ended up going out for drinks with them afterwards.
Network
Although it may feel awkward to go up to people and introduce yourself at first, once you've done it once and realise how nice people are, nothing will stop you! There are so many ways you can connect with people at blogging events, from adding each other on social media, handing out business cards, or even just having a casual conversation with someone.
Take a portable charger
As it is a bloggers event, using social media when you are there is a big part of it. Tweeting, putting photos up on Instagram, and even Snapchatting that you are there are just a few things you'll drain your battery by doing. This is also super important when you have to travel a while afterwards too.
What are your tips for attending a bloggers event?
The post is wonterful! I am loving your blog:)
