So in no particular order, here are my favourite blog posts I have read this month....
WHY YOU ARE A GIRL BOSS IF YOU BLOG BY CHARLIE FRIEND
A few weeks ago, I started doubting myself, but this blog post really made me look at my blog, and be proud of it and what I have achieved and experienced since. Just like Charlie says, it takes guts to put yourself out there, especially when people you know personally can see it and judge you. Another reason this post made me super proud of myself was the part about going to events by yourself and meeting new people. I am a very anxious person, and the fact that I went against everything I felt and pushed myself to go to an event which was full of people I didn't know and talk to lots of people is something I'm so happy for. If you ever begin to doubt yourself for blogging, or other people doubt you, definitely go read this!
10 BLOG HABITS TO TAKE UP IN 2017 - DORKFACE
In this post, the ten things listed aren't things that I am surprised were mentioned. They're all things I've heard people talk about, but I don't actually do many of them on a regular basis. So, after reading this post, it really made me think a lot about my blog, and how there are many things I can do to improve it and to widen my audience. If you have a blog and want to improve your blogging game, I 100% recommend reading this post and taking on board every point that Jemma made!
THE 20 MOST BREATHTAKING PLACES TO VISIT IN EUROPE - WORLD OF WANDERLUST
As someone who is planning a trip to Italy, this list emphasised some of the places which I now want to add to the list of towns and cities to visit. But it also has made me want to visit so many other countries too! My favourite thing about the post is the variety of countries that Brooke listed, especially the fact that Wales is on the list even if it was only the south!
HOW I EDIT MY BLOG PHOTOS - BEAUTY AND THE CHIC
The photographs in this blog post give me major blog photo envy! The majority of posts I see about editing their photos don't go into huge detail on what they do, so when I read this post, I found it so interesting and helpful reading exactly how she edits her blog photos step-by-step.
5 BLOGGING GOALS FOR 2017 - LILY MELROSE
I started reading blogs when I was in high school and Lily was actually one of the first bloggers I followed! The reason I actually loved this post is not really to do with the goals she has set, but more to do with the reflection about her blog and her blogging history at the beginning. I think it's probably because she has been blogging for so long, that I find her reflections and goals very interesting, because it is a reminder that even established bloggers are just the same as the newer bloggers!
A COMPETITIVE LIFE - ITSBECCAJAYNE
The main reason I love this post is because of all the positivity is radiates! I think every pretty much every girl can relate to something that Becca has talked about in this post. I just love how she's managed to take negative thoughts about beauty, and turned it into something positive and how she's encouraging people to empower other people, which I am definitely a believer of!
MAKEUP REVOLUTION ULTRA PRO COLLECTION - KIMBERLY JESSICA
I am a pretty big fan of Makeup Revolution, so I actually loved reading up about this collection. The photographs in the post are so pretty, and Kimberley's opinion is definitely one that I trust as well! However, be careful with this one, because you'll most likely read it and want to buy everything, just like I do... especially the highlight duo!
DEAR BABY CORBETT - LOVE, MAISIE
I feel like it's been ages since I started following Maisie and her pregnancy journey. At first, I didn't know why I had such an obsession with reading the posts, but then I realised it was how happy and excited she wrote about her little boy. This blog post in particular was one of the cutest things I have ever read! In a letter to little baby Corbett, Maisie summarises her pregnancy experience and shows just how excited she is about being a mother. I'm still waiting for him to show his little face, but it won't be much longer now, and I can't wait!
MY BLOGGING PHOTOGRAPHY - EMILY BECCA
Honestly, the first reason why I loved this post was the fact that Emily has named her camera. Now it may sound crazy, but I went through a phase once of naming everything (I have a suitcase that even everyone in my family calls Paul), but I have never named my camera! So now I feel like I need to find the perfect name... I'm maybe thinking I should just name it after Em?! Anyway, the reason this actually made the list was because it made me feel so much better. Some days I'll shoot for a post, and I will pick every photo apart because it's not as good as other people's. But this post made me realise that maybe I am being over critical, because Emily talks about how she considers herself a novice, but I love her photos!
WHY I LOVE THE HAPPINESS PLANNER - DON'T FAFF
As someone who is such a big procrastinator, I related to this post more than I probably should admit, haha! Just like Eliza says, the best way to stop faffing is to have a solid plan... but on some days this obviously seems a lot easier than possible. But what I loved the most about this post is the realisation that there are so many other people who relate too, so it left me with a sense of happiness. I can't wait to continue to read the blog posts in this series!
If you think there are any blog posts I haven't mentioned that you think have been amazing this month, feel free to tweet me the links!
