FAVOURITE BLOG POSTS OF THE MONTH - APRIL 2017

May 03, 2017

Throughout the end of March until today (when I finally finish second year), I have been super busy and have been distant from the blogging world a little. However, as breaks in my revision, I have been reading some posts to escape from the excitement that is journalism law. So I have compiled a shorter list than usual, but here are some blog posts I loved reading this month!

UNICORN CHEESECAKE BY THE LITTLE BLOG OF VEGAN

If you haven't seen this post by Holly, definitely go and have a look. It is the most magical cheesecake I have ever seen in my life, and as soon as I saw the snapchats whilst she was making it, I was so excited to see the final product and it definitely didn't disappoint! And because I don't eat dairy, it made me so happy to see this recipe.

SADHANA KITCHEN, SYDNEY BY ESSENTIALLY ENGLISH

Whilst Katie was in Sydney, I was drooling over the food all over her Instagram, so when she uploaded this post talking about the café, I loved reading it! All the dishes she talked, as well as the overall concept of the café, about look absolutely amazing, and really makes me want to go to Australia. But warning - it will definitely make you really hungry!

SOMETIMES I DON'T LIKE THE SKIN I'M IN BY MY LIFE IN ROSE TINTED GLASSES

I could not write a post about my favourite blog posts of April without mentioning this post by Francesca. It's really nice to have a reminder that no matter who you are, everyone will feel self conscious every now and then, and that everyone has things about themselves that they don't like. I 100% recommend that everyone should go and read this post! Although, as a side note, Francesca is beautiful inside and out!

As someone who loves to spend time by myself, I loved this post. I love having pamper evenings where I watch films, have a bath/shower, put on a facemask and drink tea. And I love how Alina help distinguish between being shy and being an introvert, and how she paints the picture that it's okay to love spending time alone. There is nothing wrong with being an introvert, and actually I think it's great when someone can spend time alone!

For anyone that knows me, I love stationery! Growing up nothing was better than buying new stationery was my favourite thing for going back to school every year, so it's not surprising that I enjoyed this post so much. Georgie also talks about the #WritingMatters campaign, which I think is so important, and children should still be encouraged to use pen and paper as well as all the technology.
